Social Welfare Pension
The main social security pensions disbursed through Grama Panchayats (Local Self-Government Institutions) in Kerala are as follows:
Old Age Pension:
Provided to destitute senior citizens aged 60 years or above whose income falls below the prescribed limit. Widow Pension:
Financial assistance provided to economically backward widows, subject to income criteria. Disability Pension:
Provided to economically backward individuals with a disability of 40 percent or more. Pension for Unmarried Women Above 50 Years:
Granted to destitute unmarried women who have completed 50 years of age. Agricultural Labourer Pension:
Provided to destitute agricultural labourers aged 60 years or above who do not receive a pension from other welfare fund boards.
