DATA BANNK
The Data Bank is an official document containing information about agricultural lands and wetlands in Grama Panchayats. It was prepared under the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act, 2008.
Key Objectives of the Data Bank
Protection of Agricultural Land: Accurately demarcate and protect paddy fields and wetlands.
Prevention of Land Conversion: Prevent illegal reclamation and unapproved conversion of paddy lands.
Development Projects: Plan agricultural and environmental development projects at the Panchayat level.
Information Included in the Data Bank
Village, survey number, and subdivision number.
Total extent of the land and its current status (paddy field, wetland, dry land/fallow land).
Paddy cultivation schedule and crop details.
How to Check the Data Bank
Panchayat / Village Office: The Data Bank is available for inspection at the respective Grama Panchayat Office, Village Office, or Krishi Bhavan (Agriculture Office).
Online (Kerala RELIS / E-Rekhanakal): Digitized Data Bank records can be accessed through the official websites of the Kerala Revenue Department.
Correcting Errors in the Data Bank (Form 5)
If your land is incorrectly listed as a paddy field or wetland in the Data Bank despite not being one, you can submit an application online to the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) using Form 5 to request its removal.
