1. Governing Body (Elected Representatives)
Gramapanchayat President: The President is the chief executive authority of the Panchayat. They lead the development activities and administrative procedures of the Panchayat.
Vice President: Extends full cooperation to the President in administrative activities. Executes administrative responsibilities of the Panchayat in the absence of the President.
Gramapanchayat Committee: The primary governing body comprising elected representatives. This committee manages and controls the overall administration and development of the Panchayat.
👥 Standing Committees Specialized committees formed to manage and supervise development, finance, health, education, and related activities within the Panchayat:
Development Standing Committee: Implements development projects for the Panchayat, aiming at public welfare and infrastructure growth.
Finance Standing Committee: Controls revenues and expenditures. Supervises the budget and financial records.
Health and Education Standing Committee: Regulates and improves health and educational activities within the Panchayat's jurisdiction.
Welfare Standing Committee: Implements social welfare initiatives focusing on social security and the well-being of marginalized groups.
Other Sub-Committees: Formed for special focus areas to assist in implementing various projects.
2. Administrative Staff
Employees responsible for legally implementing the decisions of the Governing Body and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations:
💼 Panchayat Secretary: The chief administrative officer of the Panchayat who coordinates office operations, file management, and official governance.
💼 Assistant Secretary: Provides necessary support for administrative and office operations. Also acts as the Member Secretary for Kudumbashree, coordinates various welfare projects, and oversees SC Development programs.
💼 Junior Superintendent: Supervises day-to-day office operations, coordinates file processing across various sections, and manages staff activities.
💼 Accountant: Controls financial transactions and accounts. Prepares and maintains revenue-expenditure records, budgets, tax details, and financial documentation.
💼 Senior Clerk: Oversees office records and administrative procedures, coordinates section activities, and handles major files.
💼 Clerk: Manages files, tax collection, public applications, and office registers, while also carrying out ward-level duties and services.
💼 Office Attendant: Assists in daily office tasks, file movement, office maintenance, and general administrative support.
🌾 1. Gramasabha (The Foundation of the Panchayat) Gramasabha is the official public assembly of local citizens. It forms the primary grass-roots democratic forum where development projects, public demands, and welfare activities are directly discussed and recommended.
